Print Bio

Kaitlyn Martin joined Petty, Livingston, Dawson & Richards in 2016. She focuses her practice on business formation and transition, estate planning and administration, and taxation because she is passionate about working with small business owners and families as they plan for the future and face everyday challenges.

While in law school, Kaitlyn served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Liberty University Law Review, where she managed the publication of the tenth volume of the law review. She has authored articles focused on tax, business, and administrative law for publication in multiple legal journals. During law school, Kaitlyn was IRS certified to prepare free income tax returns for low income individuals and families in the Lynchburg community as part of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (“VITA”) Program. Upon graduation, Kaitlyn earned concentration certificates in Planning and Business Law, and received the Roger C. Bern Planning Award for outstanding achievement in estate & business planning, legal drafting, and problem solving.

As a native of the Lynchburg area, Kaitlyn is actively involved in the community by serving on multiple boards and volunteering through a variety of organizations. Kaitlyn and her husband, Zach, now live in Forest and are active members of West Lynchburg Baptist Church. Kaitlyn’s free time is most often spent riding her two horses, with her dog, Bentley, always in tow.
